The Jewish Heritage Network (JHN) is a non-profit organization registered in the Netherlands. We create unique and innovative experiences with Jewish heritage materials for audiences around the world. As Jewish communities around the world are dwindling, we must act now to preserve the precious Jewish cultural heritage in these communities. JHN partners with forward-looking institutions, community organizations and funders to develop a new generation of tools and applications for preserving international Jewish history. We enable users to easily access the troves of Jewish heritage materials gathered from around the world and ensure they are preserved for future generations.
The key areas of JHN’s activities are:
- Infrastructural services for Jewish heritage institutions (museums, libraries, archives) to manage their digital collections according to today’s highest standards. We also facilitate global access to these heritage collections.
- Mobile guided tours of vital Jewish historic sites. Jewish quarters, synagogues and other vital Jewish sites from around the world come to life in these enjoyable and educational tours. Participants experience the true stories of these places where they happened.
- Unique interactive experiences for Jewish Holidays and other significant Jewish events.
In response to the global pandemic, JHN proudly launched Yahad-2021. Yahad allows families separated by social distancing rules to celebrate a meaningful Passover holiday experience together. With Yahad, Jewish families and communities around the world can easily gather for Virtual Seders. JHN offers a large collection of historic and modern Haggadot in 10 languages. Thanks to Yahad, Jewish families and communities around the world will be able to celebrate Passover together this year.
