Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering (DARE)

Support DARE in making the industry reusable

Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering (DARE) stands as one of the world’s most advanced student rocketry teams. Comprising over 200 students from various faculties at Delft University of Technology, DARE has pursued the ultimate goal of reaching space since its inception in 2001. Along the way, the team has consistently shattered boundaries and achieved numerous student records. DARE operates a range of projects and teams dedicated to research and the development of cutting-edge technologies, many of which contribute to our flagship project: Project Stratos. At DARE we want to be at the forefront of technology, thus as the world changes to a make sustainable future, we are changing as well.

Stratos V, the latest in a lineage of rockets launched by DARE over the past two decades, represents our most ambitious endeavour to date. Over the course of the next years, more than 120 students will contribute their expertise and knowledge, striving to launch a fully reusable rocket. Once the rocket reaches its maximum altitude, the rocket motor and nose cone, housing a flight computer, will separate. An advanced recovery system will be deployed to retrieve the entire rocket. Once back on land, the rocket will be inspected and prepared to be launched again to show the world what students can achieve!

As we develop the rocket, we’ve made significant progress thanks to our generous sponsors. However, we still require additional support to bridge the remaining funding gap. That is why funding for rocket development is currently central to our efforts, and we are committed to making this project a success. As we get closer to launch, our focus will shift to achieving that milestone. Your contribution directly aids our team to be able to show industry what we can achieve. Every donation, regardless of its size, will be immensely appreciated and will significantly contribute to the success of our mission!
