The annual Ambacht in Beeld / Craft in Focus Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is an interactive, hands-on event focusing on master craftsmanship, which inspires a large audience of 15k+ visitors.
After six successful editions in Amsterdam, and our NYC editions in June 2017, and May 2019, the third edition of the Craft in Focus Festival New York will take place at Industry City, Brooklyn in May 2020, in partnership with Wanted Design, IC Design Festival / NYCxDesign and media
partner Apartment Therapy. The festival presents workshops for all ages, master classes for professionals and demonstrations, with participating master craftsmen and -women from a.o. the Netherlands and the USA.

In a world where children are swiping their iPhones and 3D printers are building houses, it is our mission that the art of true craftsmanship will survive, and that it will thrive. In a time of serial mass production and consumption, it is important to revalue the beauty of handmade quality products. We want to share the knowledge of passionate, highly skilled master craftsmen with a wide audience of all ages.
