Atlanta Chapter
The new Atlanta Chapter of the Netherlands America Foundation (NAF) was founded exactly 100 years after the first chapter of the NAF was established in 1921 in New York City, and reflects the growing importance of Atlanta as a cultural and economic hub.
NAF’s Atlanta Chapter’s mission is to build bridges between the Netherlands and the Southeast United States, by enabling the exchange of people and ideas that create appreciation, progress, and tolerance.
Through its focus on art, science, economics, and education, the chapter will actively support:
- Inter-generational perspectives and dialogue
- Student exchanges between the Netherlands and the United States
- Events that highlight our unique and shared culture, history, and opportunities
- Dialogue and networking events around innovative industry sectors (water management / design / fintech / agriculture / logistics / blockchain, etc.)
The NAF Atlanta also supports the goals of its parent organization, the Netherland-America Foundation, the leading bilateral foundation that initiates and supports high-impact exchange between the Netherlands and the United States. The NAF offers the NAF-Fulbright Fellowships, interest-free study loans, internship opportunities, and programs in the arts, business, public policy, and historic preservation. It also provides access to a broad network of educational, cultural, and business organizations that exemplify Dutch and U.S. excellence in a number of disciplines.
